Where to play chess in Bogotá 25

A place to play in Bogotá is more often a tournament hall than a club room. Malls lend their halls to chess: Outlet Factory on the Avenida de las Américas has hosted district championships on its third floor, Intercentro beside the San Diego TransMilenio station a January blitz, and the Avenida Chile food hall a numbered series. Academia F.I.C.M and Deporte Mental take their tournaments to malls across the city.

The public libraries of the BibloRed network keep free chess clubs at Arborizadora Alta in Ciudad Bolívar, La Marichuela in Usme, Fontibón and CEFE Cometas in Suba. Kallpa in La Castellana and Excalibur on Carrera 101 are clubs with a seat. In the Sabana, Club Copa Real plays at a Soacha mall and Torre Activa in Facatativá. The street tables of Carrera Séptima, Club Lasker and El Rivera in the old center are known only from a radio report of 2023.
